James Hype (born 1989) is an English DJ, producer and remix artist from Liverpool. He is best known for his single "More Than Friends", released by Warner Music on 7 July 2017. The single reached number 8 in the UK Top 40 and number 1 in the UK dance singles chart. Before chart success, James made his name producing remixes for international artists including OT Genesis and Clean Bandit. He is also a DJ ambassador for the equipment manufacturer Pioneer DJ featuring in their online videos.
