<review>Opening with Brazen from their 1996 album Stoosh you can tell you are in for one heck of a ride. There is a good mixture from their first 3 albums and a couple of more recent tracks from when they reformed in 2009. There is even a cover version in there. Paul Weller’s You Do Something to Me, may scare some artists, but not Skin. She has gentleness in her voice that is just perfect for it. Song after song, Skunk Anansie showcase a vast vault of supeb tracks that still sound as fresh today as they did when they were first released. Skin says herself that they are playing some of the tracks for the first time in many years. For the viewer it feels like you only heard them for the first time on the radio the other day. Their songs haven’t aged and neither has Skin. Her voice still has that raw emotion and passion and it’s an absolute honour to listen to it. When they finished off with their mosh-pit heavy Charlie Big Potato, it worked. Man, did it work! It didn’t need the amp. It didn’t need the electric guitar. It was beautiful. With the band playing alongside the orchestra it was mind-blowing and more. Whether you were or weren’t one of the lucky 900, this is a great DVD and live album and one for the collection. Snap it up!</review>

<artistdesc>Skunk Anansie is a British rock band whose members include Skin (lead vocals, guitar), Cass (bass, guitar, backing vocals), Ace (guitar, backing vocals) and Mark Richardson (drums and percussion).
Skunk Anansie formed in 1994, disbanded in 2001 and reformed in 2009. The name "Skunk Anansie" is taken from Akan folk tales of Anansi the spider-man of Ghana, with "Skunk" added to "make the name nastier".
They have released six studio albums: Paranoid & Sunburnt (1995), Stoosh (1996), Post Orgasmic Chill (1999), Wonderlustre (2010), Black Traffic (2012) and Anarchytecture (2016); one compilation album, Smashes and Trashes (2009); and several hit singles, including "Charity", "Hedonism", "Selling Jesus" and "Weak".
They are often grouped as part of the Britrock movement, as opposed to the contemporary Britpop of their early years due to their overall harder sound. The band, in 2004, was named as one of the most successful UK chart acts between 1952 and 2003 by the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles & Albums, with a total of 142 weeks on both the singles and album charts ranking them at No. 491. Skunk Anansie have sold 5 million records.</artistdesc>
